Lipo dissolve abroad is also called injection lipolysis, lipostabil or lipotherapy. It has undergone a great expansion lately. Although it is a non-invasive method, its side effects caused that this method is still not approved by FDA and it is not recommended even by American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). This method is even forbidden in some countries. Studies concerning its effectiveness and safety are mostly not yet evaluated. Therefore is lipo dissolve treatment still rather an experimental method.
Abroad there are used many lipolytic substances such as multivitamins, alpha-Linolenic acid, various enzymes, vegetable extracts and of course phosphatidylcholine/deoxycholate (PCDC) that are part of so-called chemical cocktail.
Before choosing a clinic or surgeon it is necessary to find out the type of substance used for the lipolysis, surgeon’s recommendation, education and experience with the method. It is good to have shown pictures of previous patients before and after the lipolysis.
The price abroad ranges from $300 to $1,500 in total or 100 euro for one session (there can be up to ten of them). The price depends of course on many factors, for example the extent of removed area, the amount of used substance etc. For comparison, in the U.S.A. and western Europe lipo dissolve costs 30 thousand Czech crowns, in Poland in average 5 thousand Czech crowns, in Slovakia even two thousand more. Same as in the Czech Republic the cosmetic treatments are not covered by public health insurances, so the patient must cover the costs him/herself. The clinics offer various types of installments, or cooperate with loan companies that enable the patient to undergo the procedure without having sufficient sum of money at once.
